I thought I would share my progress. This what I'm doing for my mother & father inlaw for Christmas. It's a really pretty design, I love the colours I'm working with:

Here is my progress so far, I've been working on it for a few days;

And I thought I would post a picture of what my hubby calls "mission control" ... this is where the action happens ;)

I love that design, it's so pretty. :)
Your stitching area looks great, lots of natural light in the day (looks like you're by the garden area) and a lovely comfy chair. Bliss!

yes, it's a great spot to sit ... it's the corner of our family room and I can 'direct' (brush your teeth, brush your hair, no you can't eat that, yes you can do that) all from the comfort of my stitchy chair (which NO-ONE but me sit's in). Funnily enough, our 3 year old touches everything he is not supposed to, always getting into his sisters things, but he has never touched my stitch area, it stays out all the time with tempting threads, etc - I think he know's better ;)

And yep, loads of natural light but unfortunately not enough for my poor ol' eyes so I'm still very thankful for my daylight lamp!

Lovely design and as for your stitching area.... :drool: :drool: :D I want one! I have a seat on our sofa and the arm of the sofa to lay the threads out on but would love a dedicated stitching chair.

That's a beautiful design you're doing, and you've gotten a wonderful start on it! I also like your stitching area. I would love to have a spot where I could just leave everything set up all the time.

This design is on one of my many wish lists. I'd love to have it but for some reason the pattern intimidates me. I'm going to love watching you stitch this.
