I use a red sharpie marker to cross off the stitches I've completed. They are done and I get a kick out of marking t...

Re: Delica Beads

I've used Delicas on 28ct fabric. So I think it would work, but I'm not 100% sure about over 1.

Re: Threads lying flat help...

It took me some time to get comfortable with railroading. But I wasn't happy with the way my stitches were laying when stitching over 2 over 1. Now I find myself railroading automatically on other WIPs. I think of it like learning any new skill. Once you get the hang of it, it feels less awkward and...

Re: silkweavers??

I've ordered twice from them since the beginning of the year. Both orders arrived in about 2 weeks, so I took the plunge and signed up for their FOTM club a few days ago. It's worrying to hear so many have had problems with them.

I'm a thread licker, so I'd certainly be worried about the residue left on the thread.

Re: Blending threads and tenting?

Maybe try 25ct. Lugana? The stitches will still be pretty small; but perhaps not too bulky for you when stitching 2 over 1 full cross. It really is a matter of preference.

Re: Stitch goals?

I've tried making stitch goals last year, but it took the enjoyment out of stitching. Now I just relax and go where the needle takes me. No fuss, no worries, no frustration at not meeting the goal.

Re: Touching

I do worry about people touching my stitching with dirty hands, but mostly if it's a piece that won't be washed when I'm done (hand-dyed fabric, or dark reds and blues on white fabric. It's never happened to me, but the fear is there.
