Hello from an oldie!
Hi everybody,
Don't know if you remember me, but I haven't been on for a long, long time. I've been knitting - taught myself to knit socks - and learned to crochet, so haven't done any cross-stitching for ages. Our new grandchild is due in a couple of weeks, so I've been knitting/crocheting for him/her, but have now got my threads out again to begin a birth sampler. It's from the Historical Sampler Company and I'm really looking forward to starting it. Hope that everybody is well and it's good to be back!

Hello everybody, how lovely to hear from so many people.
This is the sampler, Mabel.

I'll put the baby's name and date of birth in later, obviously.
I'm using 16ct aida and I can't get over how small the squares are! Have my eyes got so much worse over the past year? I wondered whether to go for 32ct linen and am pleased now that I decided not to.
