Thanks so much for both answers. I had trouble finding my post so it has taken me a couple of days to respond. I had checked the box to notify me via email, but that didn't happen. I can't help noticing Sis worked her stitches in different directions throughout--too many for me to correct. Since I am the only one in the family who does cross stitching, I am thinking no one will notice.

I am sure you are the only one who will ever pay any attention to any stitch not being in the right direction. I think what you are doing is wonderful and I am sure your family will also. I hope that you will get a picture at some point to show us your progress on this one.
