Nice presents everyone! I didn't get anything stitching related (and not that I'd actually needed anything  ), but I got a gift certificate to a spa from hubby, which was really cool  Since being a mum it's great to have some me time, maybe a massage first and then a fancy dinner in a restaurant...cannot wait! 8)

only one stitchy related present this year, but that is fine, I have loads to do. I got Thomas Kinkade's The Lion king to do when I've finished Beauty and the Beast.

I got an audio book collection by CJ Sansom (I love audiobooks) and loads of films and a couple of books. I also got a bluray player for my room cause my old DVD player broke a few months ago and I've been using a REALLY old and borrowed one ever since. I just have to wait for the new connectors to get here (my dad didn't know what I had already and what I needed so he didnt sort that out until we got everything set up - I'm hoping they will arrive by the end of the week.

Most importantly of all, I've had the gift of time. I've been able to get a fair bit done on Beauty and the Beast already and I'm hoping to get a load more done over the next few weeks

I also go some wonderfully geeky T-shirts (one Dr. Who and one Firefly), and some lovely framed pictures of my girls (we didn't have any framed ones of Little One). Oh, and to go with the Sci-fi geek things I got a tea infuser shaped like the Death Star. :D All in all a very nice Christmas with the family.

I had a wonderful Christmas too with an early busy start as the family had invited friends over to breakfast so DD was in the kitchen early.

From DD & SIL- a lovely pouff (foot rest) to match my new easy chair.

from eldest son and DIL, a box of beautiful stationery, a book of cross word puzzles

from my only sister a lovely calendar and cross word puzzle book- in large print
stuff still in the mail from other sons over in WA - no idea what

from Carole (rcperyls) a musical card (lovely) and a gorgeous little kit (see pic)
will do that in a minute, my link to photobucket seems to have vanished.

from a long time friend in the UK who loves photography, a personalised calendar using her photos

from a breakfast guest a large box of Bailey's liquor chocs !!!!!!!!

A fabulous day but it was lovely when everyone left and the family went out and I could rest and enjoy some quiet stitchy time and catch up with myself

Now off to sort out photobucket link.

Wow endersPrincess that is quite a haul!! Well done, you'll love stitching the goddesses!

Vanessa, that painting is one or my all time faves, I used to go and seeitin the national gallery. Love the robot chameleon!

So glad you all had good Christmases and had fun. Some wonderful thoughtful gifts there.

I've been trying to figure out the lowery arm extender, can't quite figure out how it will hole the frame without digging I to the fabric, but I'm sure ill work it all out!

I've been listening to War of the Worlds, it's so very good!!

I've not had a great day today,in all the excitement last night someone (quite possibly me, or another random person) switched off my phone alarm telling when to change my fentanyl patch, so I went 12 hours too late without a change, result is like flu. Hey ho. My pain levels have been very good this year though so I'm really pleased with myself as this is the first big test of my new drug regime. It's been a tough old time changing and this has made me feel pretty happy, even though there was a blip last night!!

We've been playing telestrations again, somehow celery became geocashing!! Hilarious stuff, I recommend the game to everyone.

I got a cross stitch kit from Carole and a $15 check from my aunt that I used to take my mother and myself to go see the hobbit (and already would like to go to it again). Then I got home to find that my mother had supposedly got me a present that turned out to be a new mop head for her Shark steam vac (that it didn't need) so I would steam her floors. I don't think I'm taking her to the movies next year.

But Christmas was laid back. After feeling insulted over the present I spent the rest of the day stitching and listening to my audiobooks.

Oh, and Grey got the Scrat plushie from the new Ice Age movie. He cuddles with it but doesn't plays with it.
Thor got a bag of treats and was allowed to keep all the bows for the day (he really is impossible to shop for).
Ariel and Azazeal got a disco ball that Ariel liked at the pet store and an orange flavored cuttlebone.

Nothing SPECTACULAR this Christmas for me. We have Christmas Mass, NOT Catholic, i'm Nazarene, B/H Methodist, on Christmas Eve at midnight for communion. We have family Christmas breakfast at oldest daughter's as we OUT GREW our house as far as parking goes. It looks like a funeral procession at my house on Christmas morn.
Family DOESN'T TOUCH my hobby in gift giving.
We draw names as it's getting EXPENSIVE for us EMPTY NESTERS at Christmas.
Got a GC to a local family restaurant that FUTURE, FUTURE, FUTURE, SIL We drew ea. other's name this year.
Oldest daughter has been, over the last 4 years, having personal calenders of her and her family doing things and giving to all the females in the family.
Youngest daughter, ENGAGED, ENGAGED, ENGAGED, gave all females, different COZY items to wear or throw over their selves in the winter, mine looks like OLD TIMEY men OVERALLS, LONG JOHN PJ'S, with hood and a zipper in the back, with MATCHING footies.
I made B/H, better half, a 11 x 14 pic of a mother wolf with 3 cubs, that he picked up in a yard sale a few years back. He asked me to do it back in Jan. of this year. I told him then it was going to be his Christmas present. We'll hang it over the tv in the living room the week of New Years.
I got QUALITY TIME with him today on the way to visit my sister, who is in a nursing home 2 hrs. from us, to give her presents to her.
The BEST present is ALWAYS remembering the REASON FOR THE SEASON.

Be SAFE, PROSPEROUS, and HEALTHY in 2013. :D

HAPPY STITCHING IN STITCHING LAND. :applesauce: :D :applesauce: :D

Wow there are some lovely stitchy gifts I'm looking forward to seeing all of them started :)
I didn't get any stitching stuff but I have loads to do, erm I did get some Lego yes I know  but I love the stuff and was well chuffed with it! I used to buy it for my kids but now they are growing up don't want it (if they ever did in the first place  )so my lovely husband has indulged my childhood dreams instead! I did get perfume chocs and smellies and the usual things but it was the Lego that made my eye's light up!

I had a quiet christmas with my man but actually really enjoyed it even though I had been dreading it as I miss my 2 boys so much. However, after a couple more days of work I'm then up to Bournemouth for christmas number two with my beautiful children. Not even opened any presents yet so don't know if my stash is about to expand!
