All of my old threads for these projects are deeply buried in the forum, so I though I'd start fresh. It is a new year after all. :)

I have several projects on the go (some have been on the go for a few years now).

Ciara Blue by Blackwork Journey
Stitched over 2 on 32 ct white lugana using HDF silk in black and Carrie's Creations silk in Marina

These are all so pretty I love the ciara blue! I dont think I coukd handle all that black work/back stitching.

That blackwork is stunning! I am constantly amazed at how something made up entirely of straight lines can appear to have curves in it.

Oddly enough while backstich on a cross stitch project seems to take forever, I find that blackwork goes extremely fast compared to cross stitch. And it is so satisfying to see each section get completed. You should atleast give it a try sometime! :)
