I'm stitching it on a cotton apron, using DMC Soluable Canvas. And also using a size 9 Embroidery needle. All of which i'm using for the first time. Think it's time to invest in a thimble, the embroidery needle is so much shaper and i've pricked my finger countless times
This is going to be a present for my sister's birthday, she's been very much into cooking lately and like me she loves cross stitching so this seemed like a nice present for her. So i need to have this finished by Feb 11th, which might be a little tight.
So far i'm not very happy with the way its looking. I'm not sure if the picture is clear enough to be able to see, but the stitches are not very neat. Because of the red background this sort of stands out when using the white threads. I've never stitched on clothing before, i didn't think it would make that much difference, but its definitely not the same, i find it quite a bit harder.
Hopefully when the design is complete it will look better.
