I've found a good offer for the digital edition. You can't get the free gift but the offer is really good. Do you know the magazine? I'm thinking about the subscription...Rose wrote:Oh goodness no, I had no idea she was even going to give these to me. It was a total surprise and they will go into my stash and when I need them I will decide what to do as far as dyeing them and what colors to use.

Re: 2015 Deliveries and New Stash Aquisitions
I only "buy" my "finishing" stash for the year's projects, on Black Fri., with our 2 grand girls in tow, for our Grand mom's Day Out. While at my hobby store, I buy a gift certificate for a x-co-worker for our B/D's Day Out. Mine is March 3, hers is Mar. 23. When we go, she buys and I look (to get ideas for my "special pressie" for me, in Nov. )
I start saving from Jan. 1- Oct 31, for each Black Fri. Then what "isn't" spent, goes into the "collection" for the next year. It doesn't take me "long" to spend "most" of my "stash money" on Black Fri. As it "depends" on each year how many people HE lays on my heart to do for.
This year was my 2nd "biggest" amount of projects to do. 17 total. The 1st was in 2009, 19 total. The reason was, I was working on several baby and weeding projects before 2008, and "life happened" to get in way of my stitching. So when I was laid off 11/6/2008, and between job interviews, I really had "time" to commit to my stitching. The 17 this year was split between 7 people.
This year's projects are "small" in comparison in how many to do. Originally started with 6, 4 In Loving Memory Remembrances and 2 B/D Teacup Poisies. Now 4 more In Loving Memory has been added, as 1 was added last night, along with the 2 B/D Posies, making total now, 10 for this year. And "hopefully" this year will be the "start" of 1 of 8 afghans for the family.
HAPPY STITCHING IN STITCHING LAND.

Sounds like you have plenty of stitching to keep you busy for the rest of the year. Love the way you save up for your splurge on Black Friday a great idea.

Re: 2015 Deliveries and New Stash Aquisitions
This arrived in the post today - Hazel Everett's spectacular goldwork book
I'd seen colour used in goldwork before, but usually in the form of silk shading; Everett takes it to a whole new level using the goldwork materials themselves in lots of different colours. I am so going to enjoy this book

Re: 2015 Deliveries and New Stash Aquisitions
Wow that looks really intricate that goldwork enjoy your book, Mabel!
I bought two Elbesee Easy Clip frames which arrived this afternoon. One 12" x 12" (in the photo) and a larger 18" x 12". I've never used a frame for stitching before, only hoops, so I'm interested to see how I take to it.
And the Valerie Pfeiffer kit of three Barn Swallow chicks which I'll be stitching for my boyfriend as a birthday present (have plenty of time as it's in July! ).

I had a busy/expensive couple weeks. I *might* have a problem. Maybe not. I haven't decided yet.

Oh, such fun stuff!!!! So, if we all have that same "problem" does it become less of a problem and more of a trait of cross stitchers? (Yes, I'm trying to avoid having to announce that I, too, might have a problem.)perftangel wrote:

I love Sew and So!!! I ordered this Sunday (1/18) and it got here yesterday (1/23); I, of course, wasn't home (missed the mail lady by two minutes) and picked it up at the post office today. So excited!!!

Re: 2015 Deliveries and New Stash Aquisitions
I bought this during the HAED 50% off sale with some Christmas money!
http://heavenandearthdesigns.com/index. ... s_id=10947" target="_blank
Hehe call me crazy if you would like, but I did the puzzle and fell in love with it so hard that I needed to have it as a cross stitching. Going to spend the rest of my Christmas money on fabric and threads for it
