I love Q snaps too. Enjoy!

They’re probably in one of the many box’s yet to be unpacked. Strangely lockdown is not conducive to unpacking!

I don’t think I had one this perfect anyway so I’m happy. Now just got to wait for my elastic to arrive so I can finish my protector sleeve and stop freaking out all the small girls who come near me only to hear the phrase “mind the fabric!” (Cats, dog, small child...)

Hello everyone I hope you're all well! I haven't been on for a while but still stitching when I can (mostly Bothy Threads Wrendales!). I am a key worker in retail so no self isolation for me I have however just purchased my first Dimensions kit called Leopard in Repose :)

Lovely to "hear" from you, Nicola! :D
We were missing you and the updates on your Wrendale designs
Thank you for keeping the country going through your work. I know that people in retail have been working flat out. :applesauce:

Wow, this is a beautiful leopard! It is a full picture too with a lot of stitching but it will be fabulous once finished.

He is a beauty and I look forward to seeing your updates on him in future posts. It is good that you have work to go to although I am sure it is a mixed blessing.:)

Oh that Leopard is gorgeous.
I love Leopards, they seem the cattiest of big cats, independent & regal but somehow quite snuggly. For many years I was going to buy the leopard chart in right of the KustomKrafts logo (shown below) 'soon'. Naturally by the point I was ready to start, they were no longer selling it. Hrrumph.

Hi Nicola, I am glad you are back. Your leopard is smashing. And yes, I was missing you.

My threads have just arrived, all the 98 skeins of them! If you dont hear from me within the nearest 2 hours- I am winding them onto bobbins. Sorry, no pictures. As you know, it is easier here to stitch a tablecloth than to get someone to take a photo of it.

I placed an order with Michaels and am waiting for an email when it’s ready for pickup. It’s actually iron on material for my Cricut, but I also ordered a few threads I’m getting low on for my stockings.

I haven’t purchased any craft supplies since the lockdown started....and we actual started self-isolating at least a week before the government said to.

What a fun piece that will be to stitch and I am also very glad to hear from you again! You have been missed (as have your Wrendales I admit)

I agree about the bobbinating, both its soothing effect as well as that I think it was a Mabel creation also!

That is quite something, and not far off what my wife does with precious metal clay and coloured frit glass. I'll show her the picture, sure she'll love it.

Richard.

I'd get told to do it myself! I have some Sterling clay (when cooked turns into hallmarkable Sterling Silver) and some bronze too. But the glass-work/enameling is what gets me. Looks gorgeous if it doesn't loose colour in the furnace, but there seems to be no rhyme nor reason when it does loose colour & go transparent. I don't like unreliable processes.

Richard

Well they say that things come all at once or not at all...like Buses!

Our Postie told me that she is retiring in July. Well actually she has already taken extended leave.
She has been so good to us over the 20+ years that I wanted to make her something.
I finished the Hardanger design, found the silk to back it and make a small cushion.
Ordered the lace to edge it back at the beginning of May.

It didn't arrive and I obtained a refund and ordered some more from another supplier.

Yes! you've guessed it!!
I now have 10metres of cream lace!! Both arrived today ...in the same post delivery.

I have requested a reverse of the Refund and thankfully the 2 items were different enough for me to make a choice.
I will now be able to finish That cushion!! :whoop: :applesauce:
