Ok, I have to ask - is the £2 per skein???? OMG if it is!

I would be more than happy to be a floss fairy for any of you guys overseas! That's a crazy price to pay...

I don't know how much that comes to in US $ but like Dana, I would be more than glad to be a floss fairy also. Last time I was at Michael's floss was .39 a skein.

Oh yes rub it in!

When I was at Michaels in 2009 it was $0.35 a skein and my jaw dropped. I think I bought about half my current stash in one go (just picking nice colors, no particular goal) because it's soooooo cheap!

At most local craft stores around here DMC goes for €1.40 - €1.50 a skein ($1.80-$1.95)... it's such a crazy price difference. Thankfully there are some european online sellers that seem to import DMC and can sell it for close to the US prices. Otherwise I don't think I'd really consider doing a HAED.....

My link is 41p per skein + P&P

There are others 39p but you have to wait a week or so

thats why I always use

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150654935006" target="_blank" target="_blank? ... 1497.l2649

Both prices are better than shops here 79p - 99p

The cheapest place I've found for threads in the UK is Across Town Stitching. DMC is 40p per skein, but if you order in bulk the price per skein comes down to 30p to 35p depending on how many you order: http://www.across-town-stitching.talktalk.net/offer.htm" target="_blank. The more you order, the cheaper it works out per skein, so it's great value for kitting up HAEDs.
Sew many patterns, sew little time!
