Bothy Threads WIP

Post by Quietmind »

Image

Hopefully I have got it right this time! This is the first piece that brought me back to stitching. Still have about a quarter to stitch and. Then most of the back stitch to do. I would like to get this finished and framed in time for Christmas.

Please let me know if yet again I have not managed to post the picture! Apologies for the poor photo!

lovely picture and beautifully stitched design. Don't envy you all the backstitch to come on this one but it always amazes me how much difference it makes.

:applesauce: Well done!!

These cut-thru designs are fantastic aren't they!! I've done the Rocket and an Igloo (which came from a magazine, so I don't think that there's a kit for that)
I've got a lighthouse which is a UFO :tizzy: at the moment.

When I did mine I completed the backstitch as I went along after each page was done....I couldn't face doing it all at the end!

Keep going, nearly done!!!

Looks lovely! I'll be watching the progress on this, I do so love the Bothy patterns. I wish they were available just as a pattern though, not only in kits. I really want to stitch one, but I'm not that huge a fan of kits, I prefer to stitch form stash whenever possible.

I wish they'd just sell them as charts too! They could always add the specialist threads as an extra. When I've looked at Sew&sew you can sometimes get charts with the 'embellishments' added.

^ I'm sure if you look around you would find people selling the charts once they've finished the kits!

Great progress! I love the detail in bothy designs. I've almost finished my dictionary of cakes, I know how fun a bothy design is to do! Only thing is the mega amount of back stitch but it's so worth it!

Love this! You're doing a great job on it. All of that backstitching will be sooo worth it in the end. :applesauce: :applesauce:
