Tiffstitches 2015 - update Sep 30 -edited post again!

I realize I owe all of you a long overdue summary of what's been going on the last 2 years, but basically moving, being pregnant, and having a baby, plus deciding to open our own business left very little time for forum browsing or stitching. 2014 was basically a wash as far as stitching goes after the first couple months since we began negotiations for the new business at that time. We've now been up and running for 7 months after taking over another practice. Our website is here if you're interested.

Our daughter is healthy and happy and we know we're extremely lucky. Here's a recent photo:


As for stitching, I joined the Crazy January Challenge again because this year they're including WIPs. I started a few more new ones too, but I hope to progress on some of my WIPs as well. The details are at my blog so I don't bog this down with tons of photos, but I have had a few finishes already.

Sophia is absolutely adorable!! I'd say you have more than enough reasons to have not had much time for stitching or for the forum. I loved your website and if you were closer I'd be happy to be your patient! It is a cheerful, positive and informative website. Very inviting. I wish you all the luck in the world and have not doubt you will be successful!

And your stitching is lovely too!!! Glad that you will be able to have more time for both stitching and foruming (is that a word?). Has Sophia tried to help with your stitching?

I don't attempt to stitch when she's awake, only at nap times or when she's in bed for the night. I'm sure she will want to help once she's older though.

I forgot to add I finished 3 of 6 letters on these 6x6 burlap squares I picked up at Walmart. I ran out of WDW Angel Hair for the bears though, so the rest will have to wait until I can get some more.





I'm using WDW Bright Leaf for the darker bear colour and the red S is in Dinky Dyes, another oops pack, the orange O is WDW Blaze and the yellow P is Soie Cristale.

Thank you all! It's been so long I swear it's almost an itch to stitch. And Sophia sleeps so well at night that I can usually get in at least an hour if not 2 of stitching in every night. And I have this mad desire to finish everything I've started, so I'll go with it as long as I can and hopefully get rid of some of these WIPs.

Thanks! I can't wait until I can get some more thread to finish them. It has to wait a bit for now, but I have lots of other projects to work on in the meantime.

Everything looks great! I understand completely how having a baby can totally take over your life. DD is 2.5 now and #2 is on the way and I was SO tired in the first trimester that there was no way I had the focus or energy to stitch. Now, I really want to get back into my stitching but I'm still tired even though I'm in second tri now. So I'm getting some stitching done but not as much but every little bit counts!
