Hey guys,
I just want to know if you stitch anything for Father's Day at all? We do stitch our new bag what my wife designed recently. What do you think?

No, I don't. Not keen on 'Hallmark' holidays, so I tend to ignore Mother's day too.

That doesn't seem like the kind of bag my dad would find useful. I guess I think of a bag like that as more for young people -- not adults and certainly not elderly. Like Richard, I tend to ignore "Hallmark" holidays as far as being gift-giving occasions. If I see something I think someone (such as my dad) would like, I buy it/stitch it and give to them regardless of where it falls in the gift-giving calendar.

Just thought I would share. It wasn't for fathers day but I did sew a sampler for my Dad as a present when he came of hospital (he died just a few months later) I am afraid I don't have pic of the finished article or the chart. But as the words rang especially true with me other dad lovers might like to read them.
Be kind to thy father for when thou wert young
Who loved thee so fondly as he,
He heard the first accents that fell from thy tongue
and joined in thy innocent glee
I loved and miss my Dad very much.

What a lovely verse that is roo-bear and very true too. I am sure he appreciated it very much. Thank you for sharing it.
Saturnus, when my Dad was alive I wasn't doing any cross stitch but I used to make him cards each year. Now I am the 'old one' of the family and my "kids" (most in their 50's) all send me cards from time to time as well as special days.
