Re: Ready for a frame & stand set-up

Chellie, did you feel the need to shower after ordering it or was that just me? (4 pieces of brass on less than a half foot of elastic for almost $25! )

Diana,

I was sticker shocked! I botched up my order which didn't process - thank goodness, because I thought I had seen something ...

Re: Ready for a frame & stand set-up

@backafteradozenyrs I am glad you posted this. After picking up my needles again after being away from the craft for so long, I too just set up my stitchy spot and was on the market for a floor stand.

I still owned my scroll frame by American Dream Products, http://www.adp-usa.com/product.aspx ...

Cloudsfactory.net 2014 Magical Creatures Calendar

This is my first time participating in a monthly subscription project. With getting back into the groove of stitching I thought this would be a great place to start.

Anyone else participating in this year long stitch-a-long?

Re: Stitching Journal/Diary

Hi, happy new year! :)

I have started a stitching journal since 2008. I have it in four parts:
1. My Finished Projects
A list of all my finished projects since 1998 (photos are in a separate pic album in my external hard drive).
2. My Xstitch Stash
A record of all additional new stash I ...

Re: Stitching Journal/Diary

I'm not one to spend a lot of time hand writing in a journal but I do like the idea of keeping track of my projects. My solution is a photo journal. I always take pictures of how the finished project will look and then all the wip photos. I have each project organized in a folder on my desktop and ...

Re: how did you start?

I learned to cross stitch when I was 8 or 9. I dabbled in all types of arts & crafts. In my late teens/early 20's a stitched a few hand towels and then nothing until a few weeks ago, I am now 33. I was cleaning out my basement and found a plastic bin filled with books and charts and a few kits, and ...

I was wrong, it uses velcro I believe.

Has anyone tried this one?

I use this frame. It comes with velcro that you attach at the end of your fabric that then ...

Re: Stands, Scroll Frames, Hoops, and Q Snaps? Oh My...

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

I always stitched in hand until I joined this forum. I learned so very much here! I found qsnaps to be easier than hoops and the tension more even which gave my stitches a more even look, too. Once I used them, I never went back to inhand...

As my projects got bigger ...

Hello from Fredericksburg, VA

Greetings!

I learned to cross stitch at the age of 9 or 10. At the age of 33 I am returning to my love of cross-stitching & hand embroidery.
I found that I still had a few supplies & books stashed away. I began a few weeks ago with small cross stitch projects. I now feel comfortable beginning a ...
