Re: Wow! I'm glad I found this site!

My kind a girl! We are off on holiday tomorrow in our UK caravan, it is a big one but not as big as your fabulous motor homes, I am trying to talk my OH into getting one but he just bought a Harley so I will have to wait! Never mind, you obviously enjoy it, I know I would, I have alway been a bit ...

Re: Unwanted knots

I had been taking the lazy way, and holding the thread up, sliding the needle down to the work, then back up. I will try dangle, but my current piece is large and not easy to flip over often.

I also use 36" pieces doubled. I thread the two cut ends through the needle, then use the "loop" to anchor ...

Re: Help picking wedding design

Re: "The Stitchers Cook Book"

My husband loves it when I make this. A round two-quart dish is perfect. Don't cook it too long.

Re: back update -- advice needed please

Poor girl -- I've been there, too. I also use a chiropractor, and walk for exercise. Since I'm now 64, there're not too many flexibility exercises I can do, but at least the chiro helps. The only pills I take for it are Tylenol or Aleve (naproxen sodium).

Two tricks I have found: when the pain is ...

To those of you who replied about using oxiclean -- what proportion of oxiclean to water?

Thanks

Re: wot do u keep ur stash in?

OK, so I keep my stash in a plastic drawer bin (single drawer) about 1-1/2 x 2 feet from Walmart. But after reading this thread, I had to go find out what a pako is.

My current project is fairly complex, so I will sometimes finish a section with thread left. I do half the stitch, remove the needs ...

Re: one more doubt.

I use Qsnaps and wrap excess fabric over the already worked area to protect from the "snap". I also release the tension on the fabric when I put it away by just pulling the snaps in toward the center so the fabric is slack.

Wow! I'm glad I found this site!

Hi,
My name is Sue, also known as rvdiehl, and I live anywhere in the US I choose. My husband and I have been living full-time in our motorhome for the past nine years, and we love it.

I am so in awe of this website and the huge audience from all over the world. I learned to cross-stitch as a child ...
