Ok, when I read this topic, I thought of actually stitching out our resolutions on cloth! Think of all the hours of work, and it would sink in your head. Frame it and put it somewhere to keep it fresh on your mind! I may have to actually do this...a good way to use some 'not so favorite' fabric or ...

I'm 95% DMC simply because there is always such a great selection at my local stores, and I've also never had any problems with colors running...but both are quite easy to work with IMHO.

I actually stitch around the edges of the fabric like this:

It works like a charm! It takes 5-10 minutes depending on how big your fabric is, but it's so worth it.

Well, after a 12y+ hiatus, I've picked up cross stitching again...using even weave & linen for the first time ~ y'all are some great inspiration and I've already learned oodles! So thanks so much for such a great forum!
