There was a chart some years ago called something like 'St Andrews - Home of Golf' with a map of the courses ther. Don't know if you can still get it though and I can't remember the make... sorry.

I have some framed but more recently they just lay in a drawer. There's maybe twenty of them. I keep thinking I will make some into cushions, but I'm scared to make a mess of them, so I do nothing.

I think it would be nice to sign your work, but maybe use a thread very close to the fabric colour so it does not overpower the design ?

I cancelled my subscriptions a couple of years ago and was quite disciplined at first, only buying the occasional magazine, but now I seem to be buying them all again - I can't seem to pass them by just in case I miss something!

Another idea is to laminate the sheet, then the chart can be marked off and wiped clen for another time. Plastic file wallets work too.

Hello, I'm new this morning too. I live in the West Midlands, in the UK. I've been stitching for around 16 years - mostly small stuff with maybe one big project a year. I'm working on getting myself a full set of DMC threads - only 30 or so left, but I keep using them up!
