Great progress

-- I was looking at it half backstitched and half without, and realised that actually it looks very beautiful both ways; the one very defined and vibrant, the other soft and delicate!

You're right, Mabel. It could go either way. I thought I would save the backstitching until the end.

It looks really great I agree leave the backstitch till last then you can decide which version you prefer!

I updated this thread. I put the updated picture on the first page so the progression could be seen.
I decided to just work on this project and save the "My Sweet Rose" until after I finish.

I dont know how to make the picture look better than this. Any advice? Looks so light.

...as for the pic quality...you can edit it before uploading here...in my case, I use Picture Motion Browser or Adobe Photoshop CS3.
