A bit more done:

Image

The top yellow area of the dragon's 'frill' had to be frogged (Grrr! ) because I had stitched it one row too low, and it has to be correct because the wing that joins it (page 2) rises into the border. No way to work round it...
I've moved on to stitching the borders on this page, cos I won't want to do 'em after I've completed the pic - all ruddy quarter stitches! Well, not QUITE all - just seems like it!

And I STILL haven't got the hang of nice sharp images. :(

Beautiful work. This looks so wonderful. And backstitching is going to make it come to life. The boarder is very pretty even if it is fiddley :applesauce:

Such a bad :frog:

You've made great progress on this though, in spite of his tricks.
Well done.

More:

The image always looks better in photobucket than it does here. Not that I'm much good at photography, mind you!

It takes an amazingly long time to do such a small amount!

Yeah, cashel linen. Very uneven thicknesses of thread in both warp and weft, some very thick, some painfully thin, and actual clumping here and there, which I try to tease out so the stitching doesn't look too uneven. And it wasn't bravery, it was ignorance! I'd never used cashel linen before and didn't know how uneven it was. But I've sorta got used to it. I don't think I'll use it again, though, unless I fnd a design I love that demands it.
I always do things like that - jump in with both feet and look afterwards! It usually works our pretty well in the end (but with quite a bit of cursing along the way!)

I can understand that Fljotdale. I have done the same thing. I bought the Margaret Sherry cats and just started stitching with out reading the pattern instructions well I did one cat and that will be the only one. I hate this pattern and it was nothing but a pain in the butt.

I will try not to do that again but I probably will. Well isn't that how you learn new things??????? :D
