Update!

Here's what I got done over the long weekend! I've got to say, this really makes me appreciate my large HAED.... this one may be small, but there are so many color changes in a small area it's been taking longer. To put it in context, my large HAED is 11"x18" and has 50-something colors. This one is 6"x4" and has more than 90 colors. No more need be said.

I am doing this 2 over 1 tent stitch on 28 count Monaco. I'm using a 25 count for my other HAED, but I am surprised in the large difference in the subtle change in count. It takes a bit longer, but the coverage is 100% better. I think I'm a convert!

And (without further ado), here's a pic!

It's looking great and interesting to hear about your experience of the difference between 25 & 28 count. My HAED is 2 strands, tent stitched on 28 count; I have some 25 count for my next one (once I decide which of my HAED patterns to start next!) and now thinking I might try experimenting with 3 strands tent stitched on 25... as I really don't want to go back to doing full crosses!!

Nope, me neither. I'm a converted tent stitcher. However, since I've discovered the loop method, I abhor stitching with an uneven number of threads. Can't wait to see what it looks like though - I'm sure three strands would have looked better on my other HAED. BUT, I do rather like the whimsical effect it can give it if there's not complete coverage with the tent stitching - it gives it a "sketched" feel to it that I like.... Is that just me? I know a lot of stitchers are very concerned about their coverage.

I think your progress is fantastic! It's looking great! All of the color changes definitely make a project go slower.
