Well when i decided to do such a project i went on ebay to find a pattern. I found one and bought it. The pattern came out and when i looked there was like twenty colours in it and four pages. Now im not one to concentrate on something for very long. The pattern was way too big for me and to be honest the colours were all wrong. Anyway determined to do the cross stitch for my beloved i looked on the net for a pattern creator i could use myself. And for sure i found one. So got a picture of the badge i wanted and created the pattern. Now the badge is three colours and only one page. Not very big i know but me and big projects just dont mix. One things for sure i will never go on ebay to buy a pattern again.

ooooohhhhh you have done lots. And who cares the size cross stitch is for all levels of interest. Our mabel does mostly small patterns and some of theose are better then some of the larger pieces. So believe me at this forum size does not matter. :P

I like the sparklie fabric that looks great.

PLEASE forgive the ignorance of this yank but what is this a crest from????? Soccer, Rugby, cricket?????? I am not familiar with your sports teams.

The crest is the official emblem for a soccer team. Here we call it football. (Your football is nearer to our rugby.)
Tottenham Hotspur is one of the big London Clubs. Manchester United is another team but from the north. If you detect rivalry between the fans, you'd be correct.

Hope this helps.

Thank you that is what I was assuming but since you have the other sports I wanted to be sure of the correct sport. Yes I have seen some of the clips of fans getting in to it with each other. Crazy

Yeah, Rose, there used to be some really crazy stupid stuff between rival clubs, but it seems that's mostly stopped between the big soccer clubs. Although, having said that, DH and Younger Son went to a match recently between Manchester United and Celtic (the No 1 team in Scotland at the moment, and Younger Son's other fav team). Having received the tickets from English friends, the seats were in the Man U end, and Younger Son was told explicitly that he was not to wear his Celtic colours. They were even searched!! They did have a great time, but...

And here I thought it was a game. How wrong can you be??

Edit: I should say also that they were in Glasgow, not Manchester.

Don't worry Dawn, I'm pretty sure Rose was referring to my post.

Re supporting Middlesborough. Must be like being a Motherwell supporter, or (horrors) Partick Thistle. Though the 'jaggies' usually attract support from those Glaswegians who refuse to be part of the sectarian Celtic-Rangers divide, and are therefore worthy of praise! (Don't ask me how Youngest Son became Celtic supporter: one of many things we never taught him. :( )

Oh Dawn I was referring to Serinde I did not see that you had put a post inbetween. I should have done a quote thing so the post would be more obvious. Sorry
