My Sew and So giftie from Dawn arrived yesterday, I've just been exhausted (working very hard and being kept awake at night by a partner who last night actually elbowed me in the head in his sleep...) so not been able to post about it! Thank you Dawn, you are a soft touch and it's great!

Jilly wrote:Is it a framecraft one Jess?, I recently got one from my very reliable, immaculate, wool and stitchy shop in town, the coaster looked like it had been sanded down or chewed by a mega-large rodent, there is no way anything in her shop could have damaged it like that, I think Framecraft have a problem somewhere in the quality control area :(
Sorry for the long reply, I've only just seen this. I don't think it is a Framecraft one, it just says "Square Acrylic Coaster" on my order form and on the website. :thinks:

I did get my replacement very quickly though, and it came wrapped in 2 layers of bubble wrap and 2 layers of cardboard

Today the postperson brought me a lovely mixture of coloured fabrics from Rose. The green is perfect for the sweet peas that I plan to do as it is a delicate enough colour. I will make good use of the other colours too. I have a box with my collection of fans in it and the top of it is for displaying a picture or craft work so I have plans to stitch either a blackwork fan or some other fans for it. My room is painted a peachy/pale terracotta colour and so far I had not seen a suitable fabric on which to stitch the fans but low and behold the pale peach that Rose put in the package fits the bill perfectly. So two out of the four are already allocated, which took me all of two minutes, so the others will have a role very quickly I suspect.

Thanks very much Rose.

Some very pretty silks from Australia -- but unfortunately they were the wrong silks :-(! I wrote to them and we'll see how they solve it.
