Unfortunately I didn't get the job. It took them 3 days to phone me after promising me a call at the end of the day of the interview! Apparently I interviewed well but there was someone who was just that bit better than me! I think it almost makes it worse when they say that.
Oh well. Plenty of sewing time for a bit longer then.
Now I've just got to decide whether to carry on looking for a job here or move away to a cheaper area to live where I might be able to buy a small house with the divorce settlement that has finally just come through.

Can't remember the exact words, but the general message was (and still is ) I'm sorry the job didn't work out, and I wish you wisdom in the choices you have to make!
