Forgot to ask you about the bamboo rod. Did you cut to size yourself or is it pre-cut? If pre-cut could you tell me where you bought it?

Ahh bamboo!
Well it grows wild like weeds in Spain and here too! I brought some back with me on a previous visit (it was lying abandoned! ) and I've stripped off the outer covering and it's been drying off in the garage. D/H cut it to size. It's pretty hefty stuff, not like the garden canes in garden centres.
I've just planted some in the garden and it will grow to 8mtres+

Sorry, I don't expect that helps you get any!! :lol:But when it grows then come and pick some!! It would make 'interesting' packages if I posted it!!

Thanks for the explanation. As you said it is easily picked up in Spain. I did not realise that if you strip it and dry it that this would be the result. My OH and I have threatened to pick them up on many occasions but apart from using on the roof terrace we could not think of a use for it.

Wow-wee Wendy, what a fabulous finish. You have mounted it so well as a hanger.

Lovely work - I hope it will be displayed somewhere where it can be seen by lots of people.

PS No pressure, then, Serinde and Agi!!

I could have sworn I posted mine, because I finished it on 1 March... but where is it? Hey, ho, perhaps lost in maintenance? Well, here is a reminder:

I keep being astonished by how much a stitcher can make a design unique to herself by the choices of fabric and threads -- great to see them both!

I have seen it on the other forum when this one was out of order. It is absolutely fantastic. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: Are you having it framed?
I still haven't started my last piece yet - I was so impatient to have it and now I am lost in the other project  But I will get back to this soon, promise!
