Yeah I have had patterns do that also. Anything is better then just covering and say good luck hope you can figure it out. :?

 Oh no my snowmen are perfect they are great it is the outside influences that are making me crazy.

I have discovered that if I use the two hand method "right on top, left on bottom" then I can make much better progress then my usual one hand method. It is just hard for me as I am so very poor doing anything with my left hand.

Progress may not be as quick as you'd hoped but you've really done a lot :applesauce: :applesauce: ! Shame on designers who are happy to take the easy way out and leave the stitcher to figure out what they mean :x Mind you, I don't know to what extent the designer is responsible for the symbols and the way the chart is laid out, it may be that a stitching company buys (leases? rents? not sure) the design from the designer and then makes the actual physical chart which is sold -- perhaps this is as frustrating to the conscientious designers as it is to us stitchers!

So I couldn't stand it any longer. I spent most of my stitching time tonight winding the thread onto bobbins. They are now in numerical order and I am much happier with the sorting. I got a few minutes of stitching done.

Lovely Snowmen, Rose! And I do understand your frustration.
I have stitched count 22 over 2, I think it must be the same end result as 11 - it seemes a bit big, but not too much.

Lots of fabric drives me nuts too Rose  I use those elastic type hair bands to tie the fabric up in bunches when I work on bigger projects
Great start though

I worked on my snowmen all week and I was very happy with the progress I have made. I have made a small change already. The sign was suppose to be done in red and green but since I decorate more with blue and silver I decided to change the letters. It was also suppose to be stitched with a white background but of course that did not show up at all on the white fabric. So I went with the off-white color to make it stand out better. :D
