:horn: STASH ALERT!!

I now have all the threads to do the alphabet (before I could have done A-F & Z). I bought another 75 Anchor skeins from katzxstitch (to add to the 25 I bought a little while ago) plus Spotlight (Australian craft store) had 20% off everything for Monday and Tuesday so I got the last 10 colours I needed.

Image

I also splurged and bought another 15 packets of stitchbows and another 10 folder inserts (my excuse is that I need them to go with all those new threads.... :) )

When adding the new list of colour numbers to my spreadsheet I discovered that I had bought 378 instead of 387 (which means I would have been missing just one colour in the alphabet and that wouldn't do! :D ) and because the 20% off everything was still on I ducked into Spotlight again last night to get that one skein.

Image
Of course yesterday at work I printed out my thread list of what I already had so I could pick up a few of the more expensive skeins too - I mean who can buy just one skein when its 20% off?! :D

Wonderful colours and lets be honest, it just had to be done! No point buying at full price when you can buy at discount.

Green eye of the little yellow god... just love the colours! Especially that deep red variegated between the pink and yellow.

Another finish...

I started this one to do at work but because I was struggling with my HAED (couldn't get motivated as I am in an area which is heavy confetti) I took it home to work on for a couple of nights.

DMC Honey Pots "Yummy Honey":

Now on my list to do is a 'trial' piece.
I am trialling:
- Variegated threads (stitched in rows and single stitches)
- 32 count evenweave over 2
- Madeira metallic thread
(I want to use a blue variegated thread for the EMS advent numbers, which I plan on doing on 32ct over 2 and the metallic thread I want to use for the stars on the numbers)

The design I am going to do is from My Aunts Attic (thanks Mabel for this site!)
http://myauntsattic.web-log.nl/myauntsa ... index.html (You have to scroll down to find this design)
Image
When I put this into the drawing program at work to play with colours I altered the pattern so that it balanced (there were a few spots that differed on the two halves).

Hopefully my fabric will arrive this afternoon in the post (More stash aquisition - fat eighth of 28ct and 32ct evenweave). I ordered this online last Tuesday and had a parcel arrived from the ONS on Friday - the only problem was it wasn't actually my order. I called the ONS and accidently my order had been sent to the lady whose order I had received. So this morning I received an email saying that the other lady posted my order to me yesterday (like I did hers) so :x: I'll get it today.

Yummy honey is gorgeous! Just so sweet.
Love the design, it should look great stitched up. I love those aunts attic designs as well. I'd like to do one in the not too distant future.

Hope you get your order ok now. :)

Well my fabric arrived on Tuesday (just like I thought it would) and since then this project has been whispering "Start me, start me".... Well I gave in yesterday.

ImageImage

I also added to my stash on Saturday. There was a craft expo on the Gold Coast (only a hrs drive away) called Craftfest. Its a fairly small event with only 1 stall that sells cross stitch kits (Stitchabout - has a fabulous selection and its great to see the stitched designs) and another that sells fabric (Sew It All/Fabric Flair). I think I showed great restraint in only walking away with 2 kits and 4 pieces of fabric. (In the picture below peach and white - 32 ct evenweave, mint green and lavendar - 28 ct evenweave).
