Not been on and posted anything for a while so thought I'd hop on and share my latest project with you all. This is a chart I fell in love with as soon as I saw it and am "forcing" myself to stitch in 10x10 blocks working from the centre outwards and putting backstitch in as I go. It won't be personalised until the littly arrives because unfortunately, at the last scan, baby wasn't co-operating. I'm doing it for a friend who's due in 8 weeks. Although the stitch counts looks a lot, most of the suit, etc, is just small amounts of stitches in the 10x10 squares but I've worked the count out by doing stitches across x stitches wide so not really a true indication of the actual count.
Here's a picture of what it'll look like once it's complete and a small write-up from the designer herself.
And here's my progress thus far (if you look REALLY carefully you can just make out a finger or two):
And a close-up:
The design has actually inspired me to start designing a pattern from a photograph of Lily from when she was a few hours old but still needs a bit of "tweeking" yet

Nothing but red 'x marks the spot' on the link, which is a shame, as I'd really like to see it - but I shall see the finished project when you post your own, so I'm not cpmplaining! You've made a great start, and your stitches look fine to me!
That is really beautiful Mel. It is on my to do list. I have already finished the other baby picture by the same designer and it is also a beautiful design.

Was this a commission you sent to her because I can't find this pattern??
