Frustrating it may be, but it's looking lovely Midge! In what way is it being annoying?

Just the counting and re-counting really. I have twice done quite large areas of the tail which have been 1 count out and then they don't match up and have to be frogged. Maybe I'm too picky and could have made it match up but I would have known and it would have driven me bonkers.
I probably should have gridded the fabric but when I started it didn't seem a big project.

I am so impressed with your stitching. I saw this design in the magazine and really love it, but I'm a beginner and wouldn't dare tackle anything like this - it would put me off for life!

Not much to do now CC. Just a few more tail feathers and all that backstitch.
We are at the same stage I reckon although I haven't picked mine up this week. I will be having a good go at it over Easter in the caravan in the rain. :( :D
It looks lovely and I'm really looking forwards to seeing it in the flesh.
