L&L Celtic Christmas SAL

Post by MelissaL79 »

I finally managed to get started on this last week. I only got a few stitches laid on Thursday night, just to get the fabric marked so I felt like i had gotten started!

The design:

Excellent start on a stunning design. Others have also worked this particular lady, so help is at hand if you get stuck -- not that it looks as though you will! Flying needles! :P

The shading is so wonderful on this, I'm not surprised you find it hard to put down :-) -- this is great progress!

I have just seen this project in 'real life' recently when one of my colleagues brought her WIP into school. Photographs just do not give any justice to the detail and richness of this design. I'm sure you will love working on it, you'll be creating a real piece of art to treasure.

YES! ARGH! I've had some time off from stitching so I'd forgotten how terrible the DMC metallics are! No amount of Thread Heaven helps this stuff. Next time I'm using Krenik, now that I remember!
