Here is the first pic of my Oriental chrysanthemums, which I started the other day.
The yellows and greens are a bit of a pain as there are about six very slightly different shades of each, but it's going well.

Looks like the shading on this is going to be really subtle -- not surprising with that many shades
It may be quite a bit more effort while working on it, but the final result is going to be worth it!

I find different shades of pale to middling yellows the hardest to see in electric light so admire you for doing this much already. It really will be worth it in the end so keep at it and keep on showing us, please.

looking lovely, I love oriental flowers, Im thinking off stitching the one in the last cross stitcher magazine...its really nice, and will go lovely in my bedroom!

Thanks all. Am going to do a bit more over the weekend so will post another pic soon with lots more progress hopefully!
The shading is lovely, and with all the slight variations means if I do miscount by one or two it's not noticeable! Hurrah!

This is looking really lovely! I love shading on flowers, it brings them more to life.
