NEEDED Classic Embroidery kit thread #858

Post by megandmog »

So, very annoyingly thre is not enough of one of the threads in my Oriental chrysanthemums kit. :-(

Some of the colours were in the wrong section on the sorter card so someone obviously messed up putting it together.

The kit is by Classic Embroidery designed by Hanlyn Studios and the thread is named 858 - grey green pale.

Anyone know what number this would be in the standard threads from Hobbycraft and the like?

I would contact the company and ask for some more.

I am much in agreement with Midge. I have had several kits I have bought only to realize that they messed up on the thread placed in the kit. I usually call the number included in the kit of the company (or, if applicable, a customer service number) and find out who I speak to about getting more thread.

It shouldn't cost a thing; It was their mistake.

Yes, I have had to contact a company before - they were very good at supplying the thread (can't remember which company)

It sounds like it may be a DMC color not sure as I have not checked to be sure but I agree with the other ladies and I would contact the company for the correct thread.

Thanks all.

Have emailed them so hopefully they will be able to send me some more. Have run out of another green now, so annoying as I'm really close to finishing it now!

The lovely man at Classic Embroidery is sending me some more. :-)

Going to have to start another one while I wait for it to arrive to finish the chrysanthemums off!

hi, sometimes if you write to the company they will send you some of the thread or tell you what thread company they use for their products. for example, bucilla uses DMC. hope that helps.
