She really is wonderful!
I have to say that I do love these colours together, but I can see that stitching them so constantly could get tedious at times unless you just absolutely love the picture.

You have made amazing progress on her! And I totally get your point about really loving the design. It would be such a shame to spend so much time stitching a HAED only to end up disliking it!! I am sure that won't happen with the Queen tho, she's too beautiful.

Next photo for this one - although a 'ghost' has mysteriously appeared on it!!!

Image

Almost 2 full rows completed, save for a few filling-in stitches
Still really loving this design! A bit of background for you - the first time I saw it was in an advert for a website in the mail-order section at the end of a stitching magazine around 4 years ago, it was before I knew that HAED charts are stitched over one, so when I read that the recommended fabric was evenweave I was disappointed as I thought it'd mean loads of fractionals (I couldn't think how else they'd be able to get such lovely detail in!), "although very good results can be obtained with 18ct", so I was really put off as I imagined myself trying to keep track of quarter stitches on aida :?

Then the beginning of 2008 was when I got the Snow White chart, which I HAD to have, assuming fractionals & all, but when it arrived I was so pleased it was whole stitches, and started thinking maybe the bigger designs don't need to have fractionals.... found Queenie again on Sewalong website & the rest is history!!!
