Once I've picked my jaw up off the floor, I have to say that I LOOOOVE that pic !

I'll grab a spare place on this bench... and I'll gladly accomodate any spare or unwanted cakes since my waistline is beyond help

Can we use any pic to turn into a chart or do we have to ask permission from whoever holds the copyright? I have a couple that I would love to have charted :)

I also want to see the Northern Lights, definitely on my list of things to do. We've been looking at special Norway cruises that take in the Northern Lights, sledge rides, etc, etc, but could be a few years yet.

As for copyright, I've sought the copyright holder's permission and, so long as I don't intend to sell the pattern, distribute it, etc, etc, they are more than happy for me to convert to a chart for my own personal use :) I think you'll find a lot of people work like that, however, I think it's always best to check.

I've seen the Northern Lights when I lived on the east coast. But I saw them the best in the UP of Michigan one summer. So there you go. Suspect they are going to be rare for a bit, however: as I understand it, more solar activity = aurora. Sun is in a very quiet phase just now. :(

Do you actually have any idea just how great this is going to be? You have picked a stunner for sure, what did you use to convert the picture to chart? I love the Northrn LIghts, we saw a tiny glimpse of them on the west coast of Scotland once, it was over before we realised what it was but have never forgotten it. I have a chart called Fire and Ice ll which I had been thinking of doing or Ice House which I am being drawn to more at the moment, but Fire and Ice is nothing to what you are doing, maybe I might have a go at charting after seeing your fabulous effort. Stitch faster, so many of us want to see this one.

Haven't heard from you on your Northern Lights for ages, hope all is well? Have you done any more to it? Would love to see a picture, I would so love to do this but can only see it through your hard work
