Small Blackwork kits

Post by RosemaryH »

I bought 4 blackwork kits from this seller on e-bay. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Mottingham-Market" target="_blank

Rose and I were concerned about copyright so I have removed the photo´s of the kits themselves and put in a link to the seller. Hopefully this will be suitable.

Sat on the roof terrace in the gorgeous sun yesterday afternoon and stitched the Knot garden blackwork-

OH has turned it around in the photo but it makes no difference really.

Not sure at all yet what I will do with them, they are only about 3 inches each way, think the star is slightly larger but not much. Possibly cards, possibly coasters open to ideas from everyone.

Sorry, forgot to say that they were buy it now items and were 1.95 each and it said 1.00 postage for each so I contacted her to ask how much postage would be for all four and she said 1.32 but after I put the order in she e.mailed me again and said that she had got it down to 1.01 so I was more than pleased with that.

Here is the star one done. I think that I will do this in Christmassy colours and make it into a tree ornament.

You are doing so great with these. Blackwork is so fun when they are this size. :applesauce: I think the start would be great as an ornament.

These are lovely - the star will make a lovely tree ornament. I might have to think about getting something like this for myself, I love blackwork.

If you enjoy blackwork these are excellent, nice patterns to stitch, challenging enough without being difficult. There are a couple of lines missing on the star chart and on one of the hearts chart but if you look carefully they are easily spotted and corrected. Shame the designer was not a little more diligent on their checking.

I love blackwork and these are lovely! You are doing a great job. The star will be stunning in Christmas colors as an ornament!

The first one could be a good biscornu.
