Holiday Cancelled

Post by Ekidna »

I'm absolutely guttered but we've had to cancel our holiday to Cornwall because I'm just not well enough to go. It's really disappointing as we were so looking forward to it, but hopefully next year, when I come back from Australia.

Anyway, we decided to go for a day trip to Leeds Castle in Kent as our year ticket was due to expire. We took a posh picnic lunch and had a fabulous day. We had our dinner in a lovely little village pub... outside cos the weather was so perfect!!

I had such a great time, I wanted to share my pics with you all.

This is us before we set off, we had to drop our dog (Toya) off at "grandma's".

This is where we had our picnic.

Where we were joined the friendliest little flock of 6 geese, they were really friendly and so cute!!

Then went to the maze and grotto. We couldn't take the wheelchair in so I bought a postcard of the arial view of the maze, so I didn't waste energy getting lost!!

The grotto is amazing, it was well worth the energy!!

Looks like the weather cooperated to give you a nice day. The pictures are wonderful. To bad about the holiday but you will enjoy it even more when you do feel well enough to have a proper one.

What a pity you had to lose out on your holiday!! A Real bummer!

I have never been to Leeds castle, it looks fantastic! I agree with Rachael about the hat, but couldn't you have got a co-ordinating wheelchair??!

  Well, my friend has a bright blue one, but that wouldn't have gone either.. have to accessorize better next time!! Mind, I did wear my red coat, so that matched!!

I love that hat and scarf set, I've got quite a few, it's one of my addictions. Just love winter and autumn clothes. I collect bags too, lots of different shapes, sizes and colours, makes me feel better if I've got colourful bright things!! Well, that's what I tell hubby when he's having to share half his wardrobe space with me and cursing me for it!!
