hehehehehehehe, the god awful fabric wasn't helped by the living room carpet being the same shade of daaark blue (not MY choice, at the time) thats why i couldn't see the holes through it :) Anyways, the other of these two kits is bells on a bright red, i made a little start on it..

Image

..so far its been a bit easier to do, its got about 8 yellows on it though.

Still nothing to report on Autumn, but i have done a bit more on the bells

Image

and i got a cheap frame from Ikea the other day for the kimono i did years ago

Image

i can't afford to get them done at a framers anymore, so i've been scouting round the shops looking at the off the shelf ones to do them myself.

And this is my cat, up the tree in the front garden, 15 years old, diabetic, sleeps all the time nowadays... :thinks: and he still does the acrobatics of his youth....
(he was chasing bees.....)

The bell is going so well and such a nice pattern.

The framing looks professional!!!! :applesauce:

I have a 14 year old cat that does the same thing. Gives you the sad face so he can stay in all day and sleep pn the sofa and then goes out and catches the baby buns and brings them to the porch to eat.

That bling is stunning well done you on perservering and finishing it. I agree go for shop bought frames I only pay a framer when I am giving a piece away! I look forward to seeing your lady appear on that beautiful fabric!

The kimono is beautiful! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

I always look for frames at flea markets and garage sales - have found some lovely ones for next to nothing. I also buy picture mats at the Dollar Store!

I love, love, love your kimono, I have the chart and you reminded me why I bought it, beautiful colours, as for frames, try charity shops, car boot sales etc. if you don't like the colour of the frame you can always paint it or varnish it and then you have a lovely new frame the exact colour that you need for next to nothing.

*whispers* the back stitching round the flowers are a nightmare, but worth persevering with.
