Righto, I've uploaded a picture of work so far on the surprise present. It isn't a very exciting photo as it's the wing of a swan and all in white on white aida!

I'll take a picture of the magazine tonight and upload it, it was featured in Cross Stitch Gold a month or so ago.

Difficult to find a photo, the best I can do is this seller on ebay selling the magazine, it's the main cover picture.

well the picture is sideways, I can't seem to rotate it sadly!

It's uploaded to my gallery if you want a better look.

The colours and subject matter I hope will be just the thing my mother likes. I've only done small projects before for her (but she's put every one on a wall so I must be doing something right!) so I thought this would be a great present. I just hope I finish it before Christmas, but at less than 100 stitches a day I'm not sure. I am thinking though a week off work and solid stitching might just crack it later in the year.
