Sammy hello we missed you!!!!! Sorry to hear how you're being treated it disgusting really considering it is the place of a previous op they really should sit up and take notice! I hope now your seeing the regular consultant something more will happen for you and it will be sorted out! Wonderful though to see you again!

Once again i would like to thank you all for being great friends and for all the well wishes!! Im sat here reading the posts again and the new ones to me and im welling up here!

I still aint had my op as now my normal surgeon has refused to touch it and told me i need to see the only specailist in the UK in Portsmouth thats 4 1/2 hours drive one way from me. They wanted me to get a train down which would have been 6 hours LOL yeah right dont think so!!! I asked for transport from the NHS due to my thyroids etc not allowed to get stressed etc. So i gave them 3 weeks notice at transport and WOW the trouble i had.

1ST it was, we cant u aint ill enough
2ND was ur doc said no
3RD time was cos of the distance

This was 3 time i was refused it in one day! As i kept ringing them back and getting them to ring me back. I phoned my GP found out it wasnt the doc they had spoken to on the phone but the receptionist about MY health in and open surgery!!!! I was sooooooooo mad, she aint allowed to do that. I ended up rasing my voice and she did so just so i could get my point across i started to scream down the phone to make her hear me, i will admit i did swear (which i am sorry for) i swore about 3 times, she put the doc on the phone and i tried explaining to her and she started to scream at me so i tolfd her to f$%^ o$$ and to leave me alone!! Lee's mum picked up the phone as i flung it across mine and Lee's bed. She was trying to tell the doc it was her and the doc was still screaming down the phone! The doc then realised it was her and basiclly laugh and said oh right. She was explaining to lees mum about stuff with transport saying they had no control etc and then Lee's mum said yeah well Sam can do without the stress!!! The doc then was pleading with lees mum to make me calm down and everything!

So i went to the docs i about 5 days later needed a refareal or tabs or sommat anyway, i went in and i went stright to the receptionist and said i was sorry for swearing down the phone and i wasnt swearing at her just swearing out of temper and the fact transport was passing me from piller to post etc. She just looked up and said 'yes u was' i just raised my voice abit and said back 'no i wasnt end of' I went in to see the doc and i got an earfull off her and i put her right in her place! Told her y i was mad, that her receptionist shouldnt be talking about my health to someone on the phone in and open surgery etc, she kept trying to raise her voice above mine but i wasnt having it! She then said to me this wasnt the first time, i lost it i didnt swaer i just stood up and said i beg ur pardon??? this is the first time i have ever lost my temper with any of u and tbh its a joke and u need to get ur facts right b4 u start accussing an ill patiant! i couldnt beleive this women! She went on saying well shes part of my team, part of the NHS i said i could care what team she is apart of she shouldnt be talking about me to no one!!! end of! I said look i come in here for .........whatever it was, now i want to go!

Then i got a letter through the door from Portsmouth..they had made me another appointment (i had tried to get hold of this ladies secutery for over a week and no one got back to me so i missed my appointment as i was still trying to sort transport etc). So i phoned up the booking office this time and the lady on the other end said to me they are awful for not ringing back people there and next time to just ring booking office (thats ok if i need to cancel but what happens if i need her for other things) anyway i explained to the lady about transport and she told me to phone my consultant up here and told me another appointment wouldnt have been made by her if she didnt want to see me.

I did his secuterey didnt no what to do, said she would find him and talk to him, waited about 5 days and i phoned her back. He said he still aint touching it as i have been through every teir level he can do and i need to see this lady. Ok but no one will help me with transport, i explain to her again about it. She said she will provided them with my permission documents to prove i need to see this lady and to phone her back if any probs.

Id also been dealing with someone at PCT team, he was a nice guy, was trying everything he could. So i phoned hiim and explained. He told me i needed to ring this other lady up manager i think or sommat like that.....talk to someone that was manager etc and she found out y they didnt give it me. Not for any of the reasons above but cos i left it to late! But this time i have only give them 1 extra week to sort it out, if that with people not being in etc. (BS). So i get a call one morning saying that i now have transport for my appointment but i need to stay over nite,so i go on the 23rd June travel down, go to appointment (only a consultation), travel half way back up home but sleep over in the midlands and then travel the rest of the way home the next day in an NHS taxi.

So thats it so far about my back lol Will do a diff post about thyroids as that will be huge to. Sorry its so long everyone. THANKS AGAIN

Im sure i was put here to be hard work for them as much as they are hard work for me LOL! I think i give as good as i get on most scales LOL.

I dont think i can have my op till my thyroids are sorted due to them having difficulties in seeing when the body is in distress or not, but if i need emerg one then i have to but have to wait and see.

Oh sammy, I am so sorry you have had all this trouble getting to see someone, you really don't need all these difficulties. Anyway, hope that the trip is truly worthwhile and they can sort you out.

Thanks very much Mags, i hope they say i can have the new (to me) op, means staying in for about 1-2weeks but it will be worth it in the long run if it goes, but there is still a chance of it coming back. Just need to ask this specalist questions about it all.
