Lazy daisy stitch

Post by Thursday Next »

How do you keep it round? I have the diagram for how to "make" the stitch, but I can't figure out how to keep the roundness - I hope this makes enough sense to someone to point me in the direction of assistance...

The main idea is not to pull very much. Make sure when you do your loop that you leave plenty for you to gently close it up to get the fullness/roundness that you want.

Yes, it's that simple. Just don't pull it too tight.
Actually, you may want to experiment with different tension and see what different shapes it creates.

I still don't quite understand how it will stay round, and not just "puff" upwards (if that makes any sense), but I do trust you all immensely and will have to try it for myself....and what on earth is a turkey stitch???

I know almost none of the official stitches!

I remember doing some french knots at one point.

Here's a nice list of stitches for people in a similar situation!

I only tried lazy daisy once with no spectacular results, I try to keep the loop firm with my index fingertip while pulling the needle up and down
