with evenweave you can stitch over one or over two. it basically means the holes that you stitch over. im sure someone will be along to explain it better than me.

I am pretty sure that there is an explaination for this in the Glossary Terms thread. I also believe that Mabel made a picture of some of these terms. One of them was over one and over two.

But basically the term of 1 over 1 means one thread of floss over one thread of fabric/box.

2 over 1 means 2 threads over one thread of fabric/box.

2 over 2 means 2 threads of thread over 2 threads of fabric/box.

Hope that helps a bit.

Yes it is normal cross stitch. With HAED charts you can choose what count fabric you do them on, don't feel you have to stick with the recommended. Maybe get some pieces of a few different ones and try them out.

What a fabulous chart Ally. I love how you look at it and more and more detail appears. Really looking forward to you starting this one. All I can add to what the others have already said is to test a small area first ( a 10 x 10 square at least) to get the look you like - and be prepared to try several tests. There's nothing worse than getting well into a HAED and deciding you don't like how it's stitching up

I am not a HAED-er but I have listened to those on the board here and some have said that joining the HAED Message board gives you lots of very good information....ie about fabric count, if you should use 1 or 2 threads, if you should do full crosses or tent stitching and much much more information. I am sure you can get lots of help here also, since so many members are now doing HAEDs.

With evenweave which 25 count is you can either work your stitch over four holes as you do with aida or over nines holes. Using four holes is over 1 and using nine holes is over 2.

It's normal cross stitch but you can choose whether you use 1 strand or 2 strands, and you can use whatever count fabric you like. People have done HAEDs on everything from 14 count to 40 count and they all look great.

Ally, yes its evenweave like the wolf kit. Im doing my HAED on 18ct aida with normal x stitch using 2 strands and it just makes the finished thing bigger. The HAED you bought is gorgeous :D

I am doing HAED, "Dance of the Kokopelli" and stitching 1 over 1 on 25 ct evenweave..... that means 1 strand over 1 fabric hole. I thought about stitching on 28 ct but that would mean buy 40 inches by 80 inches fabric and it is too expensive for me. This will be one of my first HAED project I have done. I am still on page 1 and I have 49 pages to go.

I'm presuming you didn't download it, and it's coming snail mail. I'd say a week, maybe slightly more depending on how busy they are.
