I'm starting to get into this pic now, we'll see how long my enthusing lasts cos this is my least favourite of the five in this set.
I was up til midnight last night doing the bottom edge from side to side, today i'll have a stab at the gold swirls in the skirt, they take some counting out from pattern to fabric. (I can't believe i've done the same pattern five times! the only difference between them is the colours. Oh, the fabric is Sugar Mill's 'lilac grove' 16C lugana, i wanted 'burnt papyrus' for this pic but everywhere had sold out. The shading isn't so pronounced on this piece as it is on the other ones i used for the other four.)

..and i've just opened the L & L Song Of Christmas i recieved the other day, to have a looky at it; its a double-sided pattern, oo-er, and the list of backstitching instructions is longer than the list of colours...! its gonna take some studying, that one....
