If you check out ebay I think you can get DMC or Anchor threads for about 30p a skein and you can choose your own numbers, I am not sure about aida sorry

Alex, if you're in the US and can get to a Michael's store, they seem to have the cheapest DMC ($0.35/skein).

Yep I go to Michael's too and if you sign up on their website they will send you coupons every so often and once in awhile they will have one for 20% off entire purchase which then makes each skein only 28 cents each. I usually wait until they send me one of those coupons and then I go and stock up..they sell aida there too and the same thing with the coupons..I almost always get a 40% or 50% off one item at least every month. Then I go and buy my aida and it's only a few dollars for a huge piece.

I use Sew and So a lot for threads. Cross Stitch Direct has a sale on some fabrics at the moment (I stocked up on evenweave recently) and you can get grab bags from Polstiches which are a great bargain for smaller cuts of various fabrics and they're beautifully ahnd dyed.

That's exactly who I was going to suggest, if you are in the UK, they really the cheapest. Also, they have a website as well as an Ebay shop. http://www.katzcrossstitchshop.co.uk" target="_blank
For eg. 50 DMC skeins under fifteen pounds. (Sorry no pound sign for some reason at the moment :thinks: ) or 10 DMC 3.10

Always next day delivery too.

I get mine from a hong kong seller off ebay. It takes up to 5 days to arrive but I've always been really pleased with them.

It works out appx 24p per skein if you buy 100, and 27p per skein if you go for 50.
I've included price plus postage to work those costs out.

You can pick your own colours as well.

I'd recommend him. :)
