Update picture, not much progress in the last two weeks as I've been travelling with work



I have however managed to finish off a couple of other projects (will post photo's tomorrow) and I've started my friendship exchange pattern and also started and finished this little guy who i'm going to frame up to give to the M-i-L for her birthday at end of July.

been about 3 weeks since I posted an update so here you go



been really busy with other life stuff the last couple of weeks so not been on the forum much, have made quite a bit of progress on this though, so hopeful of getting it finished before I see my friend and meet new bambino who is due in about 2.5 weeks (but I probably won't visit till mid September as she lives down in Kent)....

Been looking at framing options and it's going to be expensive so might have to wait for August's payday!

Even without the backstitch the animals look so much fun (love the carrot-nibbling bunnies ) -- this is going to be stunning. As for the frame, better wait until you can find and afford exactly the right one, than settle for something cheaper that isn't right for it -- such a lot of work has gone into it that it deserves the right frame!

Thanks for all the comments everyone, it doesn't show up in the picture but the octopuses, starfish, fish and fish bowl are all metallics, my first go at stitching with them and I really love the effect, so much so that I'm going to try some on the Stitchers Friendship exchange that I'm doing at the moment

Not quite, got the rainbow and the tiny little bit of sea on the RHS to finish and then the dreaded B word!

I'm hoping to get the rest of the sea done and some of the rainbow started tonight, then I think i will alternate one evening of backstitch one evening of pretty shiny rainbow to keep myself motivated as there is not a lot of backstitch around the rainbow bits.....

I reckon another 2-3 weeks and it will be finished (I away this weekend so won't get any done then)
