Surely they are not THAT big. In actual fact they had 3 frames that were 16 X 16 so I bought all three as I cannot leave frames in the shop if they could be at all useful.

Oh dear now my mind is working out what other bird charts I have to make up a set to fit in a large frame together because I have some really large frames hidden away here too. I think my OH gave up years ago with me and frames.

Meant to say that I was really surprised when I looked at the backstitch/french knots information on the berries for this latest bird because they are done in 4 strands. Never done more than 2 strands previously so I was concerned but I must admit that these were the easiest french knots that I have ever done.

Yeah, thicker french knots can be easier--don't have to worry about pulling them through because there's too much thread.
