You're doing a great job with the alphabet! Your changes just make it even better. It definitely sounds like you have a lot of projects you want to start.....but then again, don't we all?

I just downloaded and saved the whole MS alphabet to my computer today - it will be wonderful for some project in the future (as I have no kiddies or niecies or nephews yet). I love how you've made them your own for the afghan! and your new stash is just sooo pretty (I'm such a little girl when it comes to sparkly things...)

*pricks up ears* new hand-dyed silk? Where? Who? :beg: :beg: :beg: :beg:

lovely shade of treasure braid too, which one is it?

Oh, and great progress :-)![/quote]

Who - Australian company called Stitches and Spice. They hopefully will be releasing a 12 strand silk and single strand silk hand dyed range in July and they are also looking a a silk fabic range.

The treasure braid is the pearl PB10.

I just wondered where the orange hibiscuc flower picture came from? I love hibiscus flowers and think that pattern is gorgeous. would love to add it to my stash to do myself.

The row of hibiscus (don't know the plural!) is by an Australian company called Hanne's Needlecraft and I think the pattern is just called 'Hibiscus'. I got the chart along with the lovely hand dyed fabric that I stitched it on from an Australian company called Stitches and Spice

As I mentioned in another thread I started on the EMS advent numbers a few nights ago. I intend to do the snow in petite treasure braid PB23 - Snow (which I hope is a shiny but not pearly white) but the company I ordered it off didn't have any in stock but will be getting their order in a couple of weeks (soooooo annoying that much of the specialty threads I can only get online!) so I have finished the first number except for the snow and the gold stars. I was going to use madeira no. 40 in gold that I have but I :ribbit: the ones I had done cause it looked funny.

I did pick up some gold DMC metallics during Spotlights 20% off everything sale (I have some thread heaven so I may just cope with it :D ) which  means I actually would be following the pattern (I've not been doing a lot of that - variegated thread for the number, braid for the snow....)

New stash picked up at 20% off!

Great work. Have you got an idea about how you are going to finish it?

Well while I was on holidays I started another few projects (you people are very bad influences!! :D )

Masterchef:

My progress:

I thought that I would have started and finished this while away but it has whole stitches that I want to change into fractionals (weird I am I know! ) and also I know that I'm going to run out of white thread before I've done a stitch becuase I plan on stitching the whole table white (at the moment it isn't stitched at all!)

So instead I did quite a bit on this one, The Windmill:
