My experiment worked!!

Post by mauveme »

I found this on a french blog, the instrutions were not very clear as they were in French and didnt translate well. all I had to go on were pictures and not many at that. The girl got the idea from the Australian magazine (the online one) the Gift of Stitching. So I just had to try it. It is a Biscornu Borsc.
I worked out pretty well (except for the tacky stitching on the opening , I should have machine stitched it  ) and the lining was a bi&*h to sitich in. But I am pleased how it turned out. I also made a biscornu scissor fob and a zigouigoui. I didn't have any ribbon so I used a large bead for he closing. It is quite large,70X70 and I love the thread I used, Threadworx called Noah's balloons I think. So here it is....

That's great! I love scissor fob especially. The thread is really pretty, I'm still a novice at getting varigated to go in pretty blotches, but you have it looking wonderful!

Fantastic! I have a subscription to The Gift of Stitching, but only since January and don't remember seeing this but I will have a look...
