CAROUSEL

I am looking for cross stitch patterns for carousels. I want the entire carousel, not just a single horse. I did one years ago, from a kit. It was "Her Majesty"s Carousel, and my granddaughter has it framed in her room. I would love to do something similar, as it was very enjoyable, and turned out so beautiful, with gold braided bridles and beads.

I don't have one to give you as I am still using it, but Teresa Wentzler has an amazing one, and if you can get hold of one (now discontinued, sadly - try eBay), there's also a delightful All Our Yesterdays design of a carousel.

I heartily approve of your subject choice!

Wow, the All Our Yesterdays is awesome. I had seen the other one, the antique carousel, but cannot find one, either. Are you familiar with the one I did, Her Majesty's Carousel? I think it is one of the nicest things I Have ever stitched.

The Teresa Wentzler one is totally beautiful. I managed to find the chart on eBay but haven't got round to starting it yet!

No, I'm not and I couldn't find it online either. Now I'm dying to see it!! Do you have a picture you can post?

I don't know how to post pics on this forum, but someone has a kit to sell on e-bay. Just search "her majesty's carousel cross stitch", and it should come up. The picture there does not do it justice, but you can get the idea. I still have the graph, but it was a kit, so I don't have the threads and don't know how to convert the original threads to DMC.

I saw the All Our Yesterday's on Amazon, I think. does it have a carousel pattern in the collection? I was wondering, because when I google carousels it always comes up.

If you look in the Internet Sites thread in the general section you should find a thread conversion site that will help you with all of the threads. Then you would not have to spend the money to buy a whole new kit.

I found the kit on E-Bay for Her Majesty's carousel !! YAY!! There were 3 different sellers, and one of them was doin "make an offer", so I offered $20 and they accepted. I had contacted Dimensions about purchasing the threads or a conversion chart, but they were not able to help me. In addition, I found 2 other gorgeous carousel charts. They are not kits, so I have to use my own threads, etc. I cannot wait to start these. I wish I new how to attach pictures, so I could post pics of the 3 I just purchased. Thanks for everyone helping me.
