'Dawn's Song' Mystic Stitch *UPDATE 08/08/09*

Post by nicgoss »

This is my next project once I've finished my 'Ballerina Beauty' (if I can be patient that is)

Image

Its not something I would usually go for, but there is something about it that I'm drawn to!

Going to do it on 22ct hardanger using a tent stitch, 2 over 1. I've never used tent stitch before so whether I stick with it I don't know. This project is really quite big so figured it may be alot quicker.

Started sorting threads already - it has about 95 colours and is 250 x322 stitches big.

So here goes..... wish me luck!

Good luck! It's a very unusual pattern! :x:

Nic I have this chart and I am fighting to not go and look it out, thanks for reminding me I had it! I looked in your gallery and found so many that I have and love, we must have very similar tastes? I adore wolves and HAED both of which I am doing just now and have always wanted to get Row of Love, I can see it happening! You get started and I blame you if I just have to start another one!
Happy Stitching

As predicted, I couldn't leave this one alone! The aida looked all lonely and unloved, so thought it only right that I get stitching and leave my Ballerina XS to one side for a while!

I decided to do this using 3 stands as the coverage was a little better and can't believe how much I love TENT STITCH! It's coming on SOOOOO quickly compared to my HAED!

I have to admit that the full XS definitely looks better close up and i'm glad I did my HAED in full stitches but the tent stitch is definitely appealing and will be using it again! My stash doesn't look so daunting anymore!!

Anyway, here is an update. I'm 3 pages in already and bout to start my 4th page (16 in total). Hope you likey?

Image

Really like this one, but my other half isn't keen, says the colours are too bright! What does everyone think - honest answers please!! :)
