I’m ready to start my Cherry Blossoms project. I should chose between a dark pink Aida fabric, similar to the one in the magazine (but darker) or a light pink iridescent Aida, but I can’t imagine the final result.
Then I decided to start with the dark one, here’s the first stitches after one evening:
Lovely work, very relaxing, and I like the change to a colored fabric for once!

This is a gorgeous project, one I would love to do myself. I like the effect of the various pinks on the dark pink background. You've made a good start, looking forward to your next update.

HAEDs - Bubble Telescope, Floatilla, Rainbow Embrace, Ray of Light, Iron Dragon, Newport Lighthouse
Fractal 239 Aero Chocolate
Great start, but I'd be tempted to do it on the light pink iridescent as well -- they might make rather a startling pair when displayed together! (not sure startling is the right word, but I mean you'd see them together and go "oh! how unusual" or something like that )

A pair, that sounds a good idea, I'll think about it!
Thanks

WOW I love the fabric and the pattern. I would have a tough job choosing which one to use. I like the darker fabric personally but it would look great on either.
Can you tell me what issue of the magazine that is in? I live here in the US and would love to try to locate it.

I put the last stitch on this projct, and here's the result:
I stitched with three strands for the first time in my life, because of the coloured Aida, but to be honest I found it hard and quite useless, here's a close-up:
Now the problem is, I'm not sure what to do with this: I don't find it worth being mounted (and I wouldn't even know where to display it), and I was thinking about a card, but it would come out quite big.
Any ideas?

It is pretty. Could you make it into something for a friend or family member? Maybe a small ornamental cushion filled with pot pourri or something like that?
There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE! Forget love! I'd rather fall in CHOCOLATE!

This is the stage I always get stuck too. I never know what to do with finished stitching, and have to admit that mostly it goes into a box which is rather sad.
