And Janli province? I do not understand.

When I was in college, I prefer some mini project, such as cross stitch, I will attach the pic from my Bf's space. However, now I prefer some bigger project, here bigger project is usually like a paint hang on the wall. We do not have cross stitch for cushion etc.

Sorry for my poor expression, I think my reading english is better than written and oral english

Hi, I want to learn "crocheting" very much, and I did learn from my mum. But she I am stupid and do not have the gift to understand how to. So I gave up, however, I do want to crocheting a scarf for my Bf. And if possible, some clothes as well.

I am afraid when I am old, I can not see very clear, I have myopia.

I have a job in the daytime, in the office, and at night, I do the cross stitch, after long time stitching, my neck ache. It seems my body is already very old.

I visited China in 1985, when it was just opening to tourists. I really enjoyed seeing so many parts of the country and meeting the people. Now when I see anything about China on television, I see how much it has changed since then. Amazing!

Also glad to hear that cross stitch is popular now. When I was there, I wanted to buy a needlepoint canvass to stitch, but all I could find for sale were items that had already been stitched. No-one could understand why I would want to do it myself! So I bought a large one showing a pagoda reflected in a pond, for just $12. I couldn't imagine doing all that work, then selling it for so little.

I was taught how to cross stitch when I was in second grade (7 or 8 years old). They taught us how to in school. We did simple things that we turne into refridgerator magnets. When I was preggers with my son, at 20 years old, I took it back up and have been doing it every since.

I made clothes for my dolls, too. When I started stitching, my mom and I were doing a tablecloth for my grandparents that had the design stamped on it. We would sit on different ends of the couch and work on it together. I've actually been stitching longer than I've been doing cakes (19 years now) even though I was 11/12 years old when I started that.

I understand your meaning, china has so many people. you know, that time, about 1985, the handicraft like stitch is very cheap, no matter you spend how much time on it. It's just cheap, people pay little attention to these items when you even do not have enough food.

However, things are different now. Most people do not worry about food or clothe problem. We pay much attention to our life quality. When I finished my last project, I feel so proud!

I am 24 years old, and I do not know how to make cake, I think I will never know. It's supposed to be complicated and I do not have a oven. However, making cakes is my dream when I was a child.

Are you from U.S? Well, now I see the difference between our countries, not only economical but also in culture. When I was younger than 19, I need to study, nothing except study, so many exams, so many classes, and so much homework. Even I have time, my parents would not allow me to do things like stitching. You are lucky.

After I went into the college, life was easier, less class, more friends. What I need to do was killing time, movie, novel, stitching, knitting (just a scarf), BF, gossiping etc.
